Q: Is this tournament open to everyone or just college players?
A: The tournament is open to any adult-age player regardless of skill or experience. We are offering three divisions of play to ensure good competition and fun time for everyone. At this time no youth division is being offered.
Q: What does my registration fee pay for?
A: This Ironman tournament is a fundraiser for the Ohio State Roller Hockey club. The registration fees collected will first go to cover rink and game costs. All remaining proceeds will go the Ohio State Roller Hockey club to help offset season costs and help the team travel to San Jose, CA for the NCRHA National Championships.
Q: Is Pre-registration required?
A: Yes, pre-registration IS required. In order to make out the game schedule there must be an accurate count of the teams that will participate.
Pre-payment (online or though the mail) is encouraged to ensure everything goes smoothly on tournament day but is NOT required.
Q: Are goalies required to wear skates?
A: Goalies in the Beginner division are not required to wear skates, however goalies in the Intermediate and Elite divisions will have to wear skates.
Q: What time will I be playing?
A: Until we get an accurate count of how many teams are attending the tournament game times will be unknown. However, we will be block scheduling each division so that teams will not have to stay around the rink all day long. Each division’s block of games is expected to take 3-5 hours depending on the number of teams.
